Read First: How to Share Strategies & Results Responsibly was created by ken
This section is for discussing:
- Strategies and trade setups using the KryptoMF trading Bots.
- Backtests and performance
- Risk management and configuration ideas
To keep this useful and honest, please follow these guidelines.
---
## 1. No promises, no guarantees, no “signals”
This forum is **not** for:
- “Guaranteed profit” strategies
- Paid signal groups or “copier” schemes
- Pump‑and‑dump coordination or hype
You may share:
- Your own experiences with a strategy
- Results, backtests, and lessons learned
- Ideas for improving risk and robustness
But you **must not**:
- Promise returns
- Pressure others into copying you
- Present anything as risk‑free
---
## 2. How to share your strategy
When posting a new strategy or setup, include:
1. **High‑level description**
- Trend‑following, mean‑reversion, grid, scalping, etc.
- Indicator(s) used (e.g. RSI, Stoch, MACD).
2. **Markets traded**
- Example: BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, a basket of top‑10 alts, etc.
3. **Core indicators / logic**
- Example:
- Entry when price crosses above 50 EMA and RSI(14) > 55.
- Exit on ATR‑based stop or opposite signal.
4. **Risk management**
- Risk per trade (e.g. 1–2% per position).
- Stop loss logic (fixed %, ATR, etc.).
- Use of leverage, if any.
5. **Test conditions**
- Time period (e.g. Jan 2023–Dec 2023).
- Exchange and fees model (if known).
- Whether results are:
- Backtested,
- Paper/virtual,
- Or live trading.
6. **Results (optional, but helpful)**
- Any statistical Information
- Equity curve screenshots (hide balances) if you know how to get them.
- Max drawdown, win rate, key stats.
- Any known weaknesses or “danger conditions”.
This makes it easier for others to understand and give constructive feedback.
---
## 3. How NOT to share
Please avoid:
- Vague posts like:
- “I made 300% with this simple trick, DM me.”
- Omitted risk details:
- “Just max leverage on altcoins, trust me.”
- Posting proprietary or confidential material you don’t own.
Moderators may remove low‑quality or misleading posts.
---
## 4. Respect risk and context
Markets change. A strategy that worked great last month may fail badly next month.
Good strategy discussion focuses on:
- Why it works (or may work)
- When it’s likely to break
- How to handle drawdowns and bad periods
If you’re giving feedback on someone’s strategy:
- Be respectful.
- Critique ideas, not people.
- Suggest improvements or robustness checks.
---
## 5. AI & advanced models (when implemented)
If your strategy uses AI or complex models:
- Describe the **input features** and logic at a high level.
- Don’t oversell. Emphasize:
- Data limitations.
- Overfitting risks.
- The need for out‑of‑sample testing and forward testing.
If you’re discussing the official AI‑based indicator, please also see:
- The **AI‑Based Signals & Predictive Models** forum.
- Any pinned docs or FAQs there.
---
## 6. Tagging and forum placement
- General strategy talk → **Strategy Discussion & Trade Setups**
- Indicator deep dives → **Technical Indicators & Analysis**
- Multi‑pair / portfolio‑level questions → **MultiBot & Multi‑Pair Trading**
Use clear titles like:
- “[Strategy] 1h Trend‑Following on BTC/USDT – EMA + ATR”
- “[Question] How to size positions across 20 pairs in MultiBot?”
This helps others find what they’re looking for later.
